The name Vélez de Benaudalla comes from the
arab name Bâllis Banu ‘Abd-Allah, which means Valley of
God´s Servant´s Son. It is located between the coast of
Granada, the Valle de Lecrín and La Alpujarra, 31 miles away
from the city of Granada and 9 miles away from the town of Motril.
Vélez
de Benaudalla has a population of 2,700 people. It is surrounded
by a network of roads and highways, along with frequent intercity
bus and taxi services.

through images of the past, such as the springs and cascades of the
arab castle, and its Nazarí garden, and through the abundance
